FAQ About Windows 11 Upgrade
- Is my PC eligible to upgrade to Windows 11?
- We run a compatibility check (TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, supported CPU). Many 2018 and later machines are eligible, but we always test first. In some cases, we might be able to upgrade earlier machines, but we will have to change a few components to do this.
- Will my files be kept?
- We always back up important files before upgrading. In some cases, a clean install is recommended — we'll discuss the best option with you.
- How long does an upgrade take?
- Typical in-place upgrades take 1–3 hours on most machines (depends on hardware and data). We'll give you an estimate with the check.
- What if my device is incompatible?
- We can offer a clean install of Windows 10 Extended Security alternatives, install a Linux distribution, or advise on replacement hardware and migration.
